Okanagan Staffing is seeking a skilled Red Seal Mechanic (Automotive or Heavy Duty) for a stable, long-term opportunity with a reputable employer in West Kelowna, BC. Responsibilities
- Perform full vehicle inspections and diagnostics
- Complete mechanical and electrical repairs, including engines, brakes, and drivetrains
- Safely use hoists, air tools, diagnostic scanners, and onboard computer systems
- Follow established safety protocols and industry best practices
- Supervise and mentor apprentices or junior technicians
- Stay current with emerging technologies, including EVs and hybrid vehicles
- Maintenance Services
- Perform oil changes, fluid flushes, and filter replacements
- Complete scheduled maintenance service intervals
- Rotate and balance tires; inspect and adjust alignments
- Testing and Quality Control
- Test repaired vehicles to ensure performance and safety standards are met
- Conduct road tests following repairs or maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Red Seal certification (Automotive or Heavy Duty)
- 3–5 years of experience as a licensed technician
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- High level of workmanship, diligence, and attention to detail
Work Environment
- Automotive service shop environment
- Hands-on role requiring adherence to safety standards
- Team-based setting with mentorship responsibilities
