Onsite Maintenance Caretaker

Job Description

Well-maintained 50-unit townhouse complex with pool, hot tub, marina, clubhouse, and private beach seeking a reliable, hands-on Caretaker.

Overview

Reporting to the Strata Property Manager and Council, the Caretaker is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the property and amenities. Workload varies seasonally, with increased demands in summer and winter.

Key Duties

• General repairs, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep
• Pool and hot tub maintenance (certified or willing to obtain certification)
• Maintain marina, beach, clubhouse, and common areas
• Snow removal and seasonal opening/closing tasks
• Coordinate with trades and provide monthly maintenance reports. Irrigation minor repairs.

Qualifications

• Property/facility maintenance experience preferred
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Valid BC driver’s license (towing an asset)
• Physically capable of outdoor, hands-on work year-round

Hours & Compensation

• Part-time, averaging 25 hours/week (seasonal variation)
• $42,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience
• Overtime paid per BC Employment Standards Act
• One-year renewable term
