Job Description

Lakefront Strata – Kalamalka Lake, BC

Well-maintained 50-unit townhouse complex with pool, hot tub, marina, clubhouse, and private beach seeking a reliable, hands-on Caretaker.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Strata Property Manager and Council, the Caretaker is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of the property and amenities. Workload varies seasonally, with increased demands in summer and winter.

Key Duties

General repairs, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep

Pool and hot tub maintenance (certified or willing to obtain certification)

Maintain marina, beach, clubhouse, and common areas

Snow removal and seasonal opening/closing tasks

Coordinate with trades and provide monthly maintenance reports. Irrigation minor repairs.

Qualifications

Property/facility maintenance experience preferred

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Strong communication and organizational skills

Basic computer skills

Valid BC driver’s license (towing an asset)

Physically capable of outdoor, hands-on work year-round

Hours & Compensation

Part-time, averaging 25 hours/week (seasonal variation)

$42,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience

Overtime paid per BC Employment Standards Act

One-year renewable term
